Le Bal 2006 at the Hotel de Crillon cemented its international reputation with Debs from 14 countries, including Japan, China, Lebanon and Russia. Christian Lacroix designed this year’s invitations and notable debs included Italian and Belgian princesses, Angela Mellon, of the US banking dynasty, in Christian Lacroix and the daughter of actress Kristin Scott Thomas, Hannah, in Chanel. The first African Deb, Elisabeth Senghor, was dressed in Gaultier Paris.
The charity benefiting was AJD, which helps children with diabetes.
For the first time, all congregated were adorned in jewels by Adler.
