Le Bal 2009, held at the Crillon hotel, in partnership with the Renault cars, saw the event’s international horizons expanded, with Adishree Singh, the first Indian princess to grace le Bal, as well as the first Australian and Venezuelan Debs. Hollywood glamour came in the form of Clint Eastwood’s daughter, Francesca, along with Lady Kitty Spencer, the late Princess Diana’s niece, dressed by Bruce Oldfield, and Angelica Hicks, the great-granddaughter of Lord Mountbatten, in Lanvin.

For the first time of 10 consecutive years, le Bal was in aid of Enfants d’Asie, which promotes young girls’ education in South East Asia.

Adler was the jeweller of le Bal.
