Le Bal 2008 welcomed 23 debs from 12 countries to the Hotel de Crillon, with the invitation designed by Elie Saab. For the first time, debs came from Egypt, Korea and the Philippines. There was also actor Bruce Willis’s daughter Scout Larue in Christian Lacroix and actress Carrie Fisher’s daughter Billie Lourd dressed by Chanel.
Funds raised were in aid of the Bern -Schlanger foundation, the diabetes charity set up by French journalist Stephane Bern, after his mother Melita, who died of the disease.
Adler was the jeweller of le Bal.
